To ensure a safe environment, students, faculty, and staff can now tap their identification cards as the Isabela State University-Cauayan City Campus (ISU-CCC) officially launched its new Gate Monitoring System integrated with Turnstiles located at the campus entrance and exit gates on April 16.

Adhering to innovation, the newly employed identification system entails many purposes, such as real-time surveillance and accurate records of individuals’ movements when entering and exiting due to the Radio Frequency Identification, or RFID, embedded in the cards.

With the turnstiles’ rotating arms, it can regulate admission per person to campus facilities while simultaneously preventing unauthorized access, heightening security within the institution.

Moreover, IDs are issued by the Resource and Generation Office (RGO) and activated at the Management Information System (MIS) office, granting validity to the school premises; restrictions will be effective for individuals who fail to have the required ID.

Designed not only for the gate, their updated identification cards can be utilized as well to browse the availability of books at the campus library and acquire a queue number from a touch-screen kiosk positioned near the offices of the admin building, among others.

Furthermore, bolstering an identification system within ISU-CCC elevates the institution’s security, efficiency, and reputation by automating operations, providing compliance, and establishing a more conducive academic setting suited for the students.

ISU-CCC officials, including the Supreme Student Council officers, attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony to inaugurate the Gate Monitoring System using Turnstiles.
