ISU-FIC Technology Transfer cum Food Safety training seminar was a success!
FIC Director Maam Kristin Bernadette D Callang, PFT, together with Dr. Lorelei Tabago, the campus director for Research and Development and the project leader of SMART-FIC (Sustainable Management of Agricultural Resource-Based Technologies for FIC Cauayan), initiated the training in collaboration with IGLO PIGLAI-KALIPI thru its chief executive director, Dir. Conchita Palencia. The event was attended by the members of IGLO PIGLAI-KALIPI and DSWD from the municipalities of Sta. Maria, Luna, Cabatuan, Benito Soliven and Cauayan City. The training aimed to present the different technologies generated by the Center from the different projects funded by DOST RO2 providing access to sustainable livelihood for mSMEs and to capacitate food business operators/food handlers in the proper and safe handling of food. The success of the training is also attributed to the support and expertise of the Center and Project Staff, Elvira Antalan, Jane Ellen Pagaragan and Mariela Farro Alibania who lead the product demonstration of the different technologies. Credits are also given to The Kawayan Communicator for the photos taken during the event.
