AURORA, ISABELA- Isabela State University-Cauayan City Campus signed the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Local Government Unit of Aurora for the extension of the Bachelor of Agricultural Technology Program in the Municipality of Aurora held at the Municipal Hall of Aurora, yesterday, June 03.

Dr. Ricmar P. Aquino, University President of ISU together with the university officials, Dr. Boyet L. Batang, Vice President for Academic and Related Affairs, Atty. Romano P. Cammayo, Vice President for Administrative and Finance Services and Dr. Precila C. Delima, Executive Officer of ISU Cauayan, represented ISU in the MOA Signing. The Municipality of Aurora was ably represented by Hon. Mayor Joseph Christian Q. Uy, Municipal Mayor of Aurora together with Hon. Melvin S. Martin, Vice Mayor of Aurora, Municipal Administrator Edna R. Salvador and Engr. Elmer Acoba.

Dr. Reynaria P. Quilang, Director of Institute of Agricultural Technology( IAT) of ISU Cauayan, formally started the program through her opening remarks, immediately followed by Dr. Delima for the comprehensive presentation of the project. Dr. Aquino delivered his speech reminiscing the journey of the project that started in the year 2018, and even compared the approval of this project thesis/dissertation final defense. Dr. Batang mentioned in his speech that he is also looking forward for other programs to be offered in the soon to rise ISU Aurora Extension.

Hon. Mayor Uy responded where he emphasized his gratitude for the approval of the project after years of negotiation and preparation. He is also looking forward for innovative agricultural projects involving calamansi as their main product as this project will be implemented. Finally, he announced that their loan for the funding of this project was already approved and aside from that, LGU Aurora will be helping the ISU Aurora Extension in their finances by giving PHP 1, 000,000.00 for five years.

After the response of Mayor Uy, they formally had the signing of MOA, and the program was formally ended by Dr. Teresita C. Molano, Director of Academic and Related Affairs of ISU Cauayan through her closing remarks.
