Reinforcing its role as a regional hub for innovation and enterprise development, Isabela State University–Cauayan Campus welcomed a delegation from Quirino State University–Maddela Campus for a benchmarking visit centered on its FabLab’s Shared Service Facility (SSF) under the Department of Trade and Industry, June 19.

The visit highlighted ISU’s expanding influence in shaping innovation ecosystems, as it shared its operational frameworks, best practices, and technology-driven strategies with fellow higher education institutions. QSU’s benchmarking initiative was motivated by a desire to enhance their laboratory facilities and cultivate a stronger innovation culture within their academic community.

Through collaborative discussions and open knowledge-sharing, ISU not only showcased the capabilities of its DTI-supported FabLab but also emphasized the importance of inter-institutional collaboration in uplifting the quality of instruction, research, and community engagement across the region.

ISU’s openness to support capacity-building efforts across state universities and colleges affirms its vision of inclusive innovation, making it a leading model of how academic institutions can extend their impact beyond their campuses.
