In a firm display of environmental responsibility and community leadership, Isabela State UniversityโCauayan Campus took the initiative to launch a campus-wide clean-up drive aimed at addressing waste accumulation and maintaining the integrity of its surroundings.
The General Services Office (GSO) team took the lead in organizing and mobilizing the cleanup effort, targeting key areas where plastic waste had started to obstruct drainage paths. Their initiative emphasized the value of collective action in safeguarding the campus against potential health and environmental hazards, especially with the onset of the rainy season.
Recognizing the growing concern over improper waste disposal and its adverse effects on campus sanitation and flood risks during the rainy season, the ISU-Cauayan administration called for intensified efforts in reinforcing cleanliness measures. The initiative not only highlights the campus’ resolve to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment but also reflects its active role in promoting environmental consciousness among its constituents
