The Isabela State University (ISU) Cauayan Campus energized the local leg of the Nationwide Simultaneous Coconut Tree Planting Movement, as faculty members, students, and university leaders joined forces with the Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) to advance sustainable agriculture and environmental stewardship, Purok 1, Baculod, Cauayan City, December 8.

Aimed at boosting coconut production and rejuvenating local farming areas, the nationwide campaign gained momentum in Cauayan as ISUโ€™s involvement stressed its deep drive to community service and environmental responsibility.

Leading the ISU delegation, Dr. Cipriano M. Ticman Jr., Institute of Agricultural Technology (IAT) Director, worked closely with faculty members to actively mobilize volunteers for the planting activity. Student representatives from various organizations also contributed, highlighting the youthโ€™s vital role in shaping sustainable futures.

Support from the IAT SBO and FALP further strengthened the implementation, as both groups coordinated and supervised on-ground operations to ensure smooth and efficient execution.

Their active involvement enables the ISU Cauayan community to broaden environmental awareness and strengthen efforts toward greener and more resilient farmlands.
