Isabela State University (ISU) conducted a comprehensive institutional assessment during the FY 2025 Year-End Review and FY 2026 Action Planning, convening key officials to examine outcomes, realign targets, and set the universityโ€™s direction moving forward, held at the ISU Cauayan Hostel, December 22.

The program opened with the presentation of the FY 2025 Accomplishment Report, which highlighted the universityโ€™s achievements across instruction, planning, and development. University President Prof. Dr. Boyet L. Batang presided over the activity, emphasizing the importance of aligning past performance with strategic goals for the future. The report measured progress against set targets, surfaced operational gaps, and provided the basis for evidence-driven adjustments in policy and implementation.

Updates on ISUโ€™s applications for Center of Excellence (COE) and Center of Development (COD) followed, highlighting the universityโ€™s sustained push for academic distinction and quality assurance. University officials emphasized that these applications reflect not only compliance with standards but also a long-term initiative to strengthen program delivery and institutional credibility.

The forum then cascaded the FY 2026 targets, ensuring that university-level priorities were translated into actionable commitments for campuses, units, and offices. This process reinforced alignment across the ISU system, anchoring individual action plans to shared institutional goals.

A key highlight of the event was the launching of the ISU 2026โ€“2030 Strategic Development Plan, presented by Prof. Dr. Isagani P. Angeles, Jr., Vice-President for Planning and Development. The plan outlined the universityโ€™s medium-term agenda, emphasizing strategic foresight, instructional quality, and disciplined planning.

To translate strategy into execution, Mr. John Almar Z. Cureg, Planning Officer I, led the discussion on the Campus Action Plan using a standard template, reinforcing accountability, consistency, and results-oriented implementation across the University.

Concluding FY 2025 with a rigorous evaluation and initiating FY 2026 with purposeful direction, Isabela State University underscored its commitment to strategic foresight, coordinated action, and lasting public service.
