A transformative turn toward technology-driven agriculture defined the culmination of the AgriSagana 2 Project, as stakeholders convened for a closing program that balanced critical reflection with a firm initiative to future-ready progress at Mango Suites Hotel, February 10โ11.
Led by the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation (ASSIST) in collaboration with Cargill Philippines, the program assembled farmer cooperatives, government agencies, academic institutions, and private-sector allies to consolidate gains achieved under the AgriSagana banner.
The highlight of the two-day convergence was the formal launch of the AgriSagana e-Learning Portal. It is an institutional platform designed to anchor continuous capacity-building, technical instruction, and knowledge exchange among Farmer Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs). More than a ceremonial unveiling, the initiative signaled a strategic pivot toward sustained and technology-driven empowerment in the countryside.
Representing Isabela State UniversityโCauayan Campus was Asst. Prof. Cipriano M. Ticman Jr., Director of the Institute of Agricultural Technology. His involvement emphasized the campus’ function as a linchpin in modernizing farm practices and sustaining community partnerships.
The AgriSagana Cooperatives Assembly and Culmination Program also spotlighted key outcomes and lessons distilled from the projectโs implementation, ranging from governance enhancement to improved organizational systems among participating cooperatives.
