Isabela State UniversityโCauayan City Campus expanded its student welfare initiatives with the launch of โHydration for Education: Free Water Access Project,โ a program implemented by the Supreme Student Council (SSC) to ensure reliable access to safe drinking water across the campus, February 10.
The project installed free water stations in high-traffic and student-centered areas, including the Campus Library, Student Center, and the Gymnasium area in front of the SSC Office, providing students, faculty, and campus visitors with convenient hydration points throughout the day.
The initiative addressed health, equity, and academic concerns by recognizing hydration as a fundamental requirement for physical well-being and sustained learning. The project removed cost barriers and access limitations, creating a more inclusive environment where students could fully engage in academic and co-curricular activities.
Beyond its immediate benefits, the project supported sustainability efforts by encouraging the use of refillable containers and reducing dependence on single-use plastics. All water stations were installed following sanitation and safety standards to ensure water quality and user safety.
