Isabela State University Cauayan Campus expresses its strong support to the Cauayan City Tourism Office in the celebration of National Heritage Month 2026 at the Hacienda de San Luis Eco-Tourism Park, Barangay San Luis, Cauayan City, Isabela, May 23.
The celebration highlights the rich culture, creativity, and heritage of the Cauayeรฑos through two meaningful activities: Pamana Hapag 2026, a food presentation and demonstration with storytelling, and Edu-Pinta 2026, an art-centered activity titled โKulayan Pamana: Kabataang Sining Para sa Kasaysayan ng Pilipinas.โ These activities serve as platforms to honor local traditions, promote cultural appreciation, and inspire the younger generation to value Filipino identity and history.
Representing ISU Cauayan Campus, Dr. Nancy G. De Leon, Director for Extension and Training Services, delivers a message of support, emphasizing the institution’s drive for community engagement, cultural preservation, and education-based extension initiatives. She is joined by Dr. Jehoana Mones, Dean of the College of Business and Management; Ms. Lanny Ordoรฑez, BSTourism Faculty; and Dr. Edel Alzate, showing the strong participation of the campus in advancing culture, tourism, and heritage-based community programs.
The event also features messages from key tourism and cultural advocates, including Dr. Troy Alexander G. Miano, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism Region 02; Ms. Maribel D. Eugenio, City Tourism Officer; and Bren Nebran, ISAC co-founder.
Through the collaborative efforts of the Cauayan City Tourism Office, partner institutions, artists, students, and community stakeholders, todayโs celebration becomes a meaningful reminder that heritage lives through food, art, stories, and shared community pride.
