The Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) conducted a Certificate of Program Compliance (COPC) visit for the Bachelor of Science in Agriculture program, strengthening efforts to ensure academic quality and program compliance in higher education at the ISU Cauayan Hostel, June 16.
Engr. Joven B. Jacinto, RQAT Facilitator, emphasized that agriculture remains a priority program in Region 2, stressing its role in food security and regional development. He also highlighted the regionโs vision of becoming the โGateway of East Asia,โ noting that innovation in agriculture and related programs is essential for generating employment and meeting future industry demands.
Meanwhile, Prof. Marisol S. Foronda, PhD, Cluster Executive Officer, delivered the opening remarks. Prof. Precila C. Delima, PhD, Vice President for Academic Affairs, represented by Assoc. Prof. Teresita C. Molano, University Section Chief for Curriculum Development, Review and Revision, and Accreditation, emphasized the importance of quality assurance in sustaining academic excellence. Meanwhile, Asst. Prof. Dr. Cipriano M. Ticman Jr., PhD, presented the accomplishments and best practices of the BS Agriculture program.
The activity was attended by university and campus officials, faculty members, and members of the assessment team, who evaluated the programโs readiness and implementation in line with established academic standards.
