House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” G. Dy III urged the graduates of the Isabela State University (ISU) College of Law Class of 2026 to embrace the legal profession as a lifelong service to justice and integrity during his recorded commencement message at the College of Law Graduation Exercises held at the Isabela Convention Center, June 26.

Addressing the graduating class, Speaker Dy emphasized that the law extends beyond legal doctrines and written statutes, reminding them that, “May kasabihan na ang batas ay hindi lamang koleksyon ng mga tuntunin. Ito ay may dalang pangako na pangalagaan ang katarungan, protektahan ang karapatan, at magbigay ng pag-asa sa mga nangangailangan.”

Speaker Dy further reminded the graduates that the true power of the law lies in its impact on people’s lives. “Ang batas ay pinakamakapangyarihan hindi kapag ito ay nakasulat lamang sa mga aklat, kundi kapag ito ay ginagamit upang mapabuti ang buhay ng tao,” he emphasized.

As the Class of 2026 prepares to enter the legal profession, the House Speaker challenged them to remain in truth and principled in their decisions, saying, “Nawa’y manatili kayong tapat sa katotohanan kahit mahirap. Maging matatag sa prinsipyo kahit may tukso ng mas madaling landas. At higit sa lahat, huwag kailanman kalimutan na ang pinakamataas na layunin ng propesyong ito ay hindi tagumpay para sa sarili, kundi serbisyo para sa iba.”
