Isabela State University-Cauayan Campus, in partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP), intensified efforts to promote student safety and prevent crime during the flag-raising ceremony, as authorities briefed the campus community on pressing social concerns, September 7.

Representing COP Jerry O. Castillo, PLT Judivina A. Ballesteros led the information drive, highlighting the importance of vigilance, responsible decision-making, and immediate reporting in preventing incidents that could compromise students’ safety and well-being.

The briefing tackled critical concerns involving alcohol consumption, rape and sexual abuse, and theft, emphasizing the potential legal, social, and personal consequences associated with these offenses.

Ballesteros called on students to remain vigilant and steer clear of situations that may put their safety at risk. She also urged them to stay alert to their surroundings, avoid potentially dangerous circumstances, and promptly seek assistance from authorities when facing threats or encountering suspicious activity.

The PNP called for heightened vigilance across the campus, emphasizing that crime prevention cannot rest solely on law enforcement. Students, faculty, personnel, and security officers were urged to recognize potential threats, report incidents promptly, and take part in keeping the campus secure.

ISU Cauayan continues to work closely with law enforcement authorities to address safety concerns, prevent crime, and maintain a secure environment across the campus.
