Six ASEAN cuisines filled the Isabela State University-Cauayan Campus Gymnasium as BSHM students put their hospitality training into practice through the Lasaโt Kultura: ASEAN Food Expo 2026, August 26.
Spearheaded by the College of Business and Management (CBM) through the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management (BSHM) Program, in collaboration with the Hospitality Alliance for Leadership and Service (HALS) and The Shakers Club, the expo formed part of the campusโ ASEAN Month celebration.
Students from HM F Elec 2 โ Asian Cuisine prepared and presented selected ASEAN dishes, applying skills in food preparation, presentation, service, sanitation, and cultural appreciation. Meanwhile, students from HM 211 โ Fundamentals in Food Service Operation, HM F Elec 6 โ Introduction to MICE, and HM F Elec 5 โ Catering Service Management handled event planning, coordination, promotion, and operations.
Campus officials and members of the university community joined the activity, which carried the banner โSix Cuisines. One Table. One ASEAN.โ
The expo demonstrated how experiential learning can sharpen professional skills while fostering cultural appreciation.
