Isabela State University (ISU) Cauayan Campus strengthened its institutional systems and digital readiness as it convened faculty and staff for an orientation seminar on academic and administrative processes, digital platforms, and professional communication via Zoom, September 8.

Four key sessions equipped participants with the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the campusโ€™ evolving academic and administrative systems. Topics covered effective institutional correspondence, administrative documentation, digital systems, and the universityโ€™s updated grading processes.

Mr. Kevin L. Dela Calzada, Campus Director for Media and Information Services, led the discussion on โ€œWriting Effective Letters and Other Institutional Communications,โ€ emphasizing the role of precise, purposeful, and audience-conscious writing in advancing institutional transactions.

Meanwhile, Assoc. Prof. Ryan P. Salviejo, Campus Director for Public Relations, External Linkages, and International Affairs, tackled โ€œWriting Effective Endorsements and Administrative Documents,โ€ equipping participants with approaches for producing clearer and more functional administrative papers.

The campus also augmented its digital transformation initiatives through the orientation and demonstration of the e-Travel System and AdminSphere, led by Asst. Prof. Jayson S. Liquigan, Campus Director for Information and Communications Technology. The session familiarized faculty and staff with digital platforms intended to simplify transactions and strengthen administrative efficiency.

Prof. Liezl Joy L. Quilang, PhD, Campus Director for Instruction, discussed the โ€œNew Grade Sheet and Grading System,โ€ providing participants with guidance on updated academic processes and requirements.

An open forum further allowed participants to raise concerns, clarify procedures, and engage the resource persons on matters affecting their academic, administrative, and digital responsibilities.

The sessions also featured a message from Assoc. Prof. Dionicio D. Gante, Campus Director for Gender and Development. In his closing remarks, Assoc. Prof. Arnold T. Pascua, PhD, Campus Director for Planning, highlighted the importance of harmonizing people, processes, and systems to strengthen coordination, efficiency, and responsiveness across the campus.

Through the orientation seminar, ISU Cauayan Campus strengthened not only the technical familiarity of its personnel but also the institutional competencies necessary to navigate an increasingly digital and process-driven university environment.
