The student enterprise BIHIS of Isabela State University–Cauayan Campus has secured a slot in the 2nd Isabela’s Best Laku 2026 after passing the screening for participating micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Isabela. The trade event will run from October 19 to 25 at Alabang Town Center in Muntinlupa City, where BIHIS will showcase its weaving services and value-added products to a wider consumer market.

Managed by students of the BS Entrepreneurship Program, BIHIS develops weaving services and value-added products under different brands. Its operations cover product development, branding, marketing, and customer engagement, allowing students to apply entrepreneurship concepts while managing an actual business.

The selection also comes with a ₱100,000 marketing assistance grant under the I-RISE Program, which BIHIS will use to support its marketing activities and expand its market reach.

With its participation in Best Laku, the student enterprise will introduce its products to consumers beyond the university community, engage potential customers, and gather market feedback. The experience will also expose the students to actual market conditions as they test their products and adjust their strategies based on consumer responses.

Dr. Regine M. Manzanillo, Program Chair of the BS Entrepreneurship Program, leads BIHIS as the students implement their business plans and prepare for market participation.

The upcoming trade event will give the student entrepreneurs an opportunity to apply their training in entrepreneurship while managing enterprise operations alongside their academic responsibilities. Through BIHIS, the students continue to translate classroom concepts in business planning, product development, and marketing into actual enterprise activities.
